My Story

“Comfortably Safe and I Have a Dreams!"

I couldn’t believe it! I had won a scholarship to pay my college tuition from Orville Redenbacher! That was back in 1989 while living in West Haven, Conn. and attending Bridgeport University. I wrote about my personal dream to become a teacher, help children, support their parents and create a better community to live in.

Now it is 2023, and I am a proud retired early childhood special education teacher. Not only am I happily retired, I’m also the proud CEO of Wise Women of Wealth! Our business teaches women to manage their money wisely for themselves and their families. The dream I had in 1989, after I won the Orville Redenbacher Scholarship, continues to bear fruit beyond my career and now throughout my life.

I want to go back to my humble beginnings of growing up in Springfield, Ohio. Springfield was known for the company, International Harvester, one of the largest manufacturers of trucks. In the 60’s when I was born, Springfield was a bustling city with colleges, schools, stores and a wealth of manufacturing businesses and companies because of International Harvester.

I didn’t see poverty, hunger, homelessness, and crime because our city was vibrant with an overflowing economy. I grew up in a middle-class family with both parents working who believed in God, education, and family!

Another influence in my early childhood happened on August 28th, 1963. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders gathered for the March on Washington, DC. On that day, Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his speech, “I Have a Dream ''. What perfect timing for me in my life! My parents, along with many African American parents, believed in that dream for their children and generations to come!

My dream continued when I met Lisa Margulies in 2019, Financial Advisor with Regatta Capital Group. Lisa inspired me to look at my life with a bigger picture for myself. At her desk I cried and used her tissues while she spoke into my life about the treasures of financial fitness and developing emotional confidence with my personal finances. I shared with my friends my new found treasures and invited them to meet Lisa at our first seminar in April of 2020!

Regular weekly training continued with Lisa and my friends developed financial fitness and emotional confidence too. We decided to go to the next level; let’s share this treasure with more women! And that’s how Wise Women of Wealth (WWOW) began.

Do you want to make your financial dreams come true? Are you ready to join hands with WWOW women and help more women to manage their money wisely for themselves and their families? Well, I encourage you to say yes to yourself first and then yes to WOWW! Let’s continue sharing the treasures of WWOW with women and keep our dreams ALIVE!
